About Car Lovers Rio

Car Wash

Car Lovers Rio is one of the car washes listed in Charlottesville, Virginia. The business is registered at 1083 Rio Rd E, Charlottesville, VA 22901; use this page to check its hours, phone number and Google rating before you make the trip.

In Charlottesville, washes are busiest on sunny weekends and the first dry day after rain or a snowstorm, when lines back onto the street; weekday mornings are the quietest. Across Virginia, expect a basic exterior wash to cost about what a fast-food meal does, with wax, tire shine and undercarriage rinse sold as tiers above it. Self-service bays are the cheapest way to clean a truck bed, a muddy off-roader or a vehicle that will not fit a tunnel, and many run around the clock. Check the listing for the wash type, hours, free vacuums, unlimited plans and whether the site accepts cards or app payments, then call ahead in freezing weather, when tunnels close.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open Open 24 hours. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Car Lovers Rio at (877) 452-9274; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, carloverscarwash.com.

Customers rate it 4.5 out of 5 on Google across 163 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded car washes in Charlottesville.

Charlottesville is in Virginia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Charlottesville follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Twice I've paid for the best wash and did not get what I paid for! Will not use this car wash again!!!

Used to be a decent place for touchless carwash but not anymore. After temporarily shutdown during cold weather something has changed and now they are applying ceramic coat spray without washing the presoak foam. They removed the high pressure water step in between presoak foam and paint protection spray, so spray will be applied on top of the presoak foam which is meaningless. If you are using this location primarily because of free towel service, the lowest option among the selections will be enough.

My vehicle needed cleaning after a long drive home. The front was covered in bugs so I pre-treated it to help release them while getting gas next door. I got the $18 wash and it turned out to be a complete waste of time and money. It didn't remove any bugs and the wheels and rear window still had grime. I can get a better wash for less elsewhere. Towels and vac are a nice touch but I cannot recommend this place unless your car is already mostly clean and you just want an expensive rinse off.

This car wash provides microfiber towels for body/interior and tires, as well as tire shine and brushes. A free vacuum token is provided upon purchase. The vacuum area is a bit cramped so I would advise caution during busy times. Most days there is an attendant who is extremely on the ball. Any time one of the washes is down they have a repair crew out immediately. They also update the washes with new equipment fairly regularly. Note: this is a touchless car wash - no brushes slapping road dirt from other cars onto your vehicle.

My go-to car wash for the last 2 years! I love that the automatic car wash is brushless, so it doesn't scratch up my paint. I'm here several times a week since I drive for a living and have to keep my car very clean. It's always a great experience. Sulaiman gives excellent customer service...he's always there to help! I appreciate the use of the towels and tire shine, too. My only wish is that the management would add a monthly unlimited plan for regular customers!
